About the Cash Discount Manager (POS)
Cash Discount Manager helps you run a cash discount program on Shopify POS by raising prices to include your card processing markup, then giving that amount back as a discount when customers pay with cash.
The app automatically raises your catalog prices by your chosen markup percentage (like 4%) across all sales channels, with a backup created first. When customers check out on POS, the Cash or Card tile displays both the card price and cash price, applying the cash discount in one tap. You can also use the Apply Cash Discount option from the smart grid.
New and edited products get auto-updated with your markup, while excluded items stay unchanged. Gift cards are never modified. The Custom sale tile lets you add open amounts at the card price. This way, shelf prices show the card price, and cash-paying customers automatically receive their discount at checkout.
