About the True COGS: Cost of Goods Sold
True COGS tracks your actual cost of goods sold by recording purchase order prices when stock arrives in Shopify. Unlike Shopify's fixed cost per item, this app calculates margins based on real costs using average or FIFO costing methods. Each sale is costed at the average price in force that day, giving you accurate profit calculations. The app automatically imports Stocky purchase orders, lets you add freight and duty costs, and shows inventory value on past dates. Net profit reports include Shopify Payments fees, your gateway rates, shipping costs, monthly expenses, and uploaded ad spend. Every profit line clearly names its source, so you always know where your numbers come from. Missing costs are never treated as zero, keeping your financial data reliable.
