About the Shopify Protect: Rule Builder
Shopify Protect: Rule Builder helps you control payment risk and protect your store revenue with custom fraud prevention rules. Build rules that automatically block suspicious orders, request 3D Secure authentication, or hold risky payments for manual review based on signals that matter to your business.
Preview how each rule would affect your last 90 days of orders before activating it. Get alerts when rule results change from your testing. Create reusable lists of emails, IP addresses, and other identifiers to save time managing fraud signals across multiple rules.
Track rule performance directly in Shopify Analytics alongside your sales data to measure impact and refine your fraud prevention strategy over time.
