CostBuffer keeps your product COGS accurate when you purchase from suppliers in foreign currencies. The app stores each supplier's invoice amount in their original currency and automatically converts it using official exchange rates that update daily.
When exchange rates move, your cost of goods sold stays current. You can set a threshold so COGS only updates when rates shift significantly, or choose to use today's rate or a 7, 30, or 90-day average to smooth out currency swings. The app blends each new purchase with your existing stock, calculating costs based on each transaction's exchange rate on that specific day.
Add freight and duty costs, view rate charts, and access a complete log of every COGS change with its corresponding exchange rate. No more stale numbers in your profit reports as yuan, euros, or other currencies fluctuate against your store's currency.
