About the Spec Hero

Spec Hero helps you add filterable specification tables to your product pages and lets shoppers compare products side by side. Every specification is stored as a real Shopify metafield, which means it works seamlessly with Shopify's native storefront filters, search functionality, and bulk editor. Create a global spec set and customize sets for each product type, then assign them by collection or tag. Fill in specification values across your entire catalog using a spreadsheet-style grid, paste data directly, or import via CSV with built-in error reporting. The app generates spec tables that render directly in your product page HTML, including complete variant matrix tables that display every size or length option in one organized spec sheet. The side-by-side compare feature automatically hides identical rows and creates shareable links for easy customer reference. A guided setup process walks you through creating metafields and enabling filters, then verifies each step is live on your store.
