About the MT: SKU & Part Number Search

This app restores precise SKU, barcode, and part number search to your Shopify store. Since Shopify switched to semantic search, finding products by exact reference numbers became difficult—customers searching for a specific SKU or part number would see hundreds of unrelated results instead. MT: SKU & Part Number Search fixes this by adding exact match functionality to your existing search bar. When customers enter a SKU, EAN/UPC barcode, or manufacturer part number, they get that exact product alone. The app handles partial references, prefixes, and ignores separators and case variations. Perfect for stores selling auto parts, industrial supplies, electronics, or any business where customers search by reference numbers. If the app goes down, your native Shopify search automatically takes over as a backup.
