About the ShotSwap ‑ Variant Images

ShotSwap fixes Shopify's variant image limitations by letting you assign multiple photos to each product variant. Instead of showing every image regardless of what shoppers select, the gallery displays only the photos for the chosen color or variant. Each variant gets its own image shelf where you can pick photos from a grid and drag to reorder them. When a shopper picks Navy, they see only Navy's photos—the gallery follows their selection automatically. The app includes color swatches, image swatches, and pill swatches for both product pages and collection cards. Auto-assign intelligently matches images to variants, while bulk assign lets you preview changes before approval. Activation is verified against your live storefront so you always know the real status. Sold-out variants maintain their styling without affecting buy buttons.
