About the Safety Stock Shield

Safety Stock Shield helps you reserve inventory for wholesale, B2B, and in-store orders while preventing overselling online. Set safety stock buffers across your entire store, by collection, product, variant, or location. When customers try to checkout with quantities that would dip into your reserved stock, the app blocks checkout and displays your custom message. Products stay published and visible, so you don't lose sales opportunities. Optional low-stock warnings alert shoppers before inventory runs out. The app includes an event log that records every protected checkout for your records. Perfect for retailers managing multiple sales channels who need to hold back inventory. Free for stores with up to 25 products.

Launched: May 8, 2026
