About the PREPA: Quebec Warranty
This app helps Quebec merchants comply with the Consumer Protection Act by automatically displaying the legal warranty of good working order on product pages. Starting October 5, 2026, new appliances, TVs, computers, tablets, phones, and game consoles sold in Quebec require a 3 to 6 year warranty notice where products are advertised.
The app identifies covered products in your catalog while excluding accessories and used items. It displays warranty periods on product, collection, and search pages in both French and English. Customers can access the official French notice with the complete durations table in one click. You can enable automatic checking of new products as you add them to your store, ensuring ongoing compliance with Quebec's warranty requirements.
