The app captures each variant's exact inventory policy before the change.
Shoppers see a clear "Pre-order" button with messaging about expected ship timing, so they know exactly when their order will arrive. When you restock, simply disable pre-orders and Prestock restores every variant to its original inventory settings—no risk of overselling.
Pro users get auto-toggle functionality that enables pre-orders on stockout and reverts them automatically when inventory returns, eliminating manual work.
