About the PoolKeeper: Shared Inventory
PoolKeeper solves the problem when multiple product listings share the same physical inventory. When you sell variants, multipacks, or different weight sizes from one stock pool, Shopify tracks each separately—leading to overselling when one variant sells out while others still show available stock.
This app creates a shared inventory pool across your variants. Set the total quantity and define how much each variant uses with multipliers for packs and weight (like 6-packs, 0.5 kg bags, or metres of fabric). Every sale or restock automatically updates all connected variants to match.
Compare-and-set technology prevents overselling by never overwriting sales in flight. Hourly reconciliation and stock buffers keep your listings accurate. A complete activity log records every sale, restock, and correction with before-and-after quantities, giving you full visibility into your inventory changes.
