About the Image Optimizer & Alt Text
Mint Image Optimizer helps you resize and compress product images while keeping everything organized. Large camera photos can slow down your store, so this app scales oversized images to your preferred size and re-compresses JPEG and WebP files in their original format. The optimized file replaces the old one within the same product image, preserving position and variants.
Every original image is backed up with its alt text and file name, so you can restore one or all images anytime. The app only uploads new files when they're meaningfully smaller, and skipped images show you why they weren't changed.
You can also write alt text and descriptive file names using your own templates. New product images are automatically optimized in the background, saving you time and effort while improving your store's performance.
