About the Lektoro: Green Claims Checker
This app helps you find and fix vague environmental claims in your Shopify store that may violate EU Directive 2024/825. It scans your product descriptions, pages, blog posts, theme texts and translations to flag claims like "eco-friendly" or "climate neutral" that could break new EU rules on green marketing.
For each flagged claim, you'll see the full sentence, which regulation it might violate, and clearer alternative wording. You can note your evidence, mark what you can prove, and keep a decision log of all changes. The app automatically re-scans when you update products, collections or your theme.
Export a printable report or CSV file to share with your lawyer. This read-only tool helps you stay compliant with EU banned practices on sustainability labels and offsetting claims. Not legal advice.
