About the Image Care
Image Care speeds up your Shopify store by converting heavy JPEG and PNG product photos into lightweight WebP format. The app automatically replaces images while keeping your image order, variant images, and featured photos exactly as they were.
AI-powered alt text generation describes every photo for search engines and screen readers, improving your store's SEO and accessibility for shoppers. Turn on Auto-Optimize and new products get optimized in the background without any manual work.
Run Speed Reports to see how much page weight you've removed from your store. Your original images stay safely backed up in Shopify Files, so you can always restore them if needed. Perfect for stores looking to improve pagespeed and reduce load times caused by heavy product photography.
