About the GiftScan: Scan & Redeem

GiftScan lets you redeem Shopify gift cards in-store without needing a POS integration. When customers buy gift cards online, they expect to use them at your physical location too. Without an easy redemption method, staff have to turn customers away, losing sales and creating frustrating experiences. This app solves the problem simply. Staff scan the QR code directly from the customer's gift card email, check the balance, and redeem the amount being spent. Redemptions apply immediately to the Shopify gift card, keeping balances accurate across all channels. No codes to type or read aloud—just one-tap QR scanning at checkout. Staff can sign in on mobile or web without shared passwords or PINs. The app includes a full activity log showing staff member, timestamp, and redeemed amounts for every transaction. It works independently without requiring POS integration, making gift card redemption in-store straightforward and reliable.
