About the GapFill: GA4 Server Tracking

GA4 often misses purchases when ad blockers, browser privacy settings, or closed tabs prevent tracking. It also can't see in-app checkouts from AI assistants and social apps. GapFill solves this by comparing your Shopify orders with GA4 data and identifying what's missing by channel, source/medium, and payment method. Orders still untracked after 26 hours are sent to your GA4 property using server-side tracking via the Measurement Protocol. The app preserves the GA4 client ID captured at checkout to maintain accurate attribution. You get a detailed report showing missing orders before anything is sent—nothing happens without your approval. Optional features include tracking recurring orders, refunds, cancellations, and other channels. The app handles consent properly and automatically stops if client IDs stop matching.
