About the Nordic Vat Validator
Nordic VAT Validator checks VAT numbers in real time against the EU VIES database and UK HMRC to verify business customers. When a signed-in customer enters a valid VAT number, the app automatically marks them as tax-exempt so VAT is removed at checkout on qualifying orders.
Merchants can add the VAT field to their storefront as a theme block or use the one-click floating app embed—no coding required. The app covers all 27 EU countries plus the UK and Norway for complete VAT validation.
If the validation service is temporarily unavailable, the app keeps orders moving instead of blocking checkout. View validation history and monthly usage directly in your admin dashboard.
