About the ECGT Kit

ECGT Kit helps EU-focused Shopify stores comply with Directive (EU) 2024/825 by displaying the mandatory legal guarantee notice on product pages. From 27 September 2026, this harmonised notice must appear for all EU consumers. The app automatically shows the official Commission artwork in colour and in the shopper's language. Since it uses the fixed EU template, nothing is paraphrased or altered from the approved format. When a producer provides a free guarantee covering the entire product for more than two years, ECGT Kit displays the GARAN durability label. This label only appears when the guarantee qualifies under EU requirements. The app also includes an audit feature that scans your product catalogue for green claims that will become unlawful under the new directive, helping you stay compliant with EU consumer protection regulations.
