About the Acconto: Deposits & Balances

Acconto lets you take deposits on made-to-order items and automatically charges the remaining balance before shipping. Add a "Pay a deposit today" option to your product pages using Shopify's native checkout. Customers pay either a percentage or fixed deposit amount, and Shopify securely saves their payment card details. Orders arrive on hold until you're ready to fulfill them. When items are ready to ship, simply release the hold and Acconto automatically charges the balance to the customer's saved card. The order only ships once the balance is paid in full, so nothing leaves your warehouse unpaid. Set up deposits by product, variant, collection, or across your entire store. Choose when balances are due: at shipping time, on a specific date, or after a set number of days following the order. If a card payment fails, customers receive a payment link with automatic retry attempts. The app includes storefront text and customer emails in six languages, making it easy to offer deposit payments to a global audience.
