About the CostGap ‑ Find Missing COGS
CostGap scans your product catalog and finds every variant missing a cost per item or set to zero. Shopify's profit reports exclude sales without recorded costs, making products appear as pure profit when they're not. This app shows exactly how much of your sales data is missing from your reports.
See all variants that need costs, sorted by top sellers first. Add missing costs directly from the list by pressing Enter, or apply one cost to all variants of a product in a single click. The app analyzes your last 30 days of orders to reveal the true gap in your profit tracking.
With Pro, access detailed margin analysis by sales channel, discount code, vendor, and collection. Test price and cost changes before implementing them, view a complete product map, and identify which items sold below cost. Stop missing critical cost data and get accurate profit reports.
