About the COD Shield ‑ Add COD fee
COD Shield helps you control Cash on Delivery payments at checkout automatically. The app works with your Shopify shipping settings to manage COD orders based on the shipping method customers choose.
Set up is simple: create a COD shipping method in Shopify, enter the exact name in COD Shield, and enable it with one click. Once active, the app runs payment customization rules in real time at checkout.
When customers select COD shipping, only Cash on Delivery payment appears. If they choose any other shipping option, COD is hidden and all other payment methods like cards, UPI, and wallets remain available.
You can add extra COD fees to offset handling costs and process unlimited orders. The app uses Shopify's Payment Customization Function to control which payment options show based on the selected shipping method, giving you complete control over your COD orders without manual intervention.
