Tripwire stops card-testing bots from running stolen card numbers through your checkout, protecting you from processor fees and fraud-score damage. The app identifies bots before any card is charged by using an invisible challenge that gives real shoppers a signed token while they browse. Bots that jump straight to checkout don't have this token. Two Shopify Functions automatically remove card payment options or block orders for tokenless low-value checkouts, while wallet payments remain available. The system fails open, meaning uncertain cases are never blocked so legitimate sales go through. The admin dashboard shows your protection status and prevented attempts. You only pay for attempts actually stopped through usage billing via the App Events API.
