Barcode Genie helps merchants who sell products by weight scan scale labels directly at the register. Perfect for butchers, delis, and produce counters, this app reads barcodes from scale-printed labels and rings up weighed items at their exact price—no manual entry needed.
The app works with your real products and supports common scale formats plus GS1 DataBar. When you scan a label, Barcode Genie automatically pulls the price and weight encoded in the barcode, so staff don't have to enter prices by hand at the POS.
Weight prints on receipts for customer transparency, and the app flags any price mismatch at checkout to prevent errors. You can also track yield, shrink, and true cost per cut to better manage inventory and pricing for items sold by weight.
