About the Backordr ‑ Preorder Backorder
Backordr manages pre-orders and backorders so you can keep selling even when items are out of stock. The app automatically shows ship dates on product pages, at checkout, and in customer emails, making it clear whether an item is a pre-order or backorder.
When customers buy both in-stock and out-of-stock items together, mixed carts split automatically. In-stock products ship right away while pre-orders wait for their ship date. When stock returns, the app fills the earliest orders first without manual work.
The dashboard gives you control with per-variant limits and a restock waitlist. Customers receive branded emails for pre-orders, backorders, restock dates, and shipments. Expected dates appear on product, collection, and cart pages. Includes a Google Merchant Center feed and requires no theme edits to get started.
