About the Backblock Rural Shipping Rates

Backblock identifies rural and urban New Zealand delivery addresses at checkout and displays the correct shipping rate you configure. Rural customers see your rural rate while urban customers see your standard rate - the other option stays hidden. The app reads numbered RD routes from address lines, then checks postcodes against 711 New Zealand rural delivery postcodes to determine location type. You set both shipping rates yourself. Backblock doesn't prefill prices or supply carrier pricing - you have complete control. For carts over 25 kg, choose to either block delivery or charge a flat rate you specify. The app creates its own delivery profile without touching your existing shipping profiles. Works exclusively for New Zealand addresses.
