Address Guard validates German checkout addresses to prevent costly delivery failures. The app checks shipping addresses directly in Shopify Checkout using Shopify Functions, catching errors before orders are placed. German delivery addresses without proper details are expensive. A Packstation missing the DHL Postnummer or a street address without a house number means DHL returns the parcel. You end up paying shipping twice plus handling support requests. This app requires the Postnummer for Packstation and Postfiliale addresses, detects Packstation addresses even with common typos like Paketstation, and blocks street addresses missing house numbers. Customers see clear error messages on the exact field that needs correction. Address data never leaves Shopify since no external servers are involved. International addresses pass through untouched, so only German addresses are validated.
