About the A3E Green Claims Checker
From 27 September 2026, EU Directive 2024/825 bans generic environmental claims like eco-friendly, green, or sustainable, plus carbon neutral claims based on offsetting and home-made eco labels for anything sold to EU consumers.
Green Claims Checker scans your product titles, descriptions, SEO text, product types and tags in nine EU languages to flag each restricted claim by severity. For every finding, you'll see why it breaks the rules, how to reword it, and which part of the law applies.
The app works with Sidekick so you can ask which products need fixing or check new copy before publishing. It catches offset-based carbon neutral claims, vague eco claims, and home-made labels across English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Dutch and more languages.
