About the Zen Image Optimizer

Zen Image Optimizer compresses and resizes product images and Files library images directly in your Shopify store. Each image is optimized in place, keeping the same media ID and CDN URL, so your themes, links and indexed pages continue working without redirects. Run a catalogue scan to check every image size, then get a savings estimate showing what's optimizable before you start. Preview compression on 5 of your own photos in memory to measure real results with nothing uploaded yet. Bulk compress JPEG, PNG and WebP files using lossless, balanced or aggressive settings. Originals are stored for 30 days and any optimization run can be restored, whether one image or all of them. Track your usage with per-cycle counters that show what was optimized and which images were skipped.
