About the Reroute
Reroute helps you turn sold out products into sales by showing relevant alternatives when items are unavailable or discontinued. When customers hit an out-of-stock product page, they see suggested alternatives instead of leaving your store empty-handed.
The app offers five block types to match different scenarios: out of stock items, newer models, own brand alternatives, similar products, and discontinued items. You can manually map alternative products or let the Shopify Recommendations API suggest them automatically.
Display options include inline or popup formats with list, grid, and carousel layouts. All blocks are configured directly in the Theme Editor without any coding required. The app works alongside back in stock notifiers, giving customers options when they don't want to wait. Supports 37 languages with customizable translations to match your store's needs.
