About the AccessKit
AccessKit scans your Shopify store for WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility issues and helps you publish a compliant EAA accessibility statement. The app checks your storefront against key accessibility rules including image alt text, form labels, heading order, color contrast, empty links, disabled zoom, and missing language attributes. All checks combine into one weighted accessibility score. Since June 2025, the European Accessibility Act requires online stores serving EU customers to publish an accessibility statement. AccessKit generates and hosts that statement directly from two simple fields.
