About the a11y‑guard

a11y-guard helps online stores meet web accessibility requirements under the European Accessibility Act. The app runs scheduled scans of your storefront to find accessibility issues, each one mapped to WCAG 2.1 AA and EN 301 549 standards. You'll see two clear numbers: how many success criteria were tested and how many issues remain open, sorted by severity. The app only counts what it can actually verify—untestable criteria are never marked as passed. Every audit and action gets logged in a tamper-evident journal you can export as PDF. Generate an accessibility statement in English or German based on your latest scan, and get developer notes for theme code fixes. AI suggests alt-text for images, but nothing changes until you approve it. Remember that automated testing catches only some accessibility issues. This tool gives you a prioritised starting point, not a complete audit. It doesn't replace manual expert review or testing with assistive technology users.
