Combine multiple criteria using AND/OR restriction groups to create precise rate calculations. Add surcharges per zone, shipping class, or method, and set up rate tiers leading to a free-shipping threshold. Use customer tags and date ranges as additional conditions for your rules. Before launching, preview any cart and see exactly which criterion passed or failed for each rule. All your shipping rules, zones, methods, and classes are stored as metaobjects in your own Shopify store—not in an external database.
