About the VAT Validator Pro
VAT Validator Pro helps EU B2B merchants verify VAT numbers in real-time against the official VIES database. Manual VAT checks don't scale, and this app solves that with live validation through a storefront cart widget and checkout field for Shopify Plus stores.
The app only marks VAT numbers as verified when VIES confirms them. If VIES is temporarily down, numbers remain unverified so checkout can continue with VAT applied. Merchants can optionally enable tax-exempt sync for verified intra-community B2B customers after successful validation.
VAT numbers are automatically re-checked every 90 days to ensure ongoing compliance. Export your complete audit log as CSV for record-keeping. The cart widget works on all Shopify stores, while the checkout field is available exclusively on Plus.
