About the TrueTag: Serial QR & Warranty

TrueTag helps you assign unique serial numbers and QR codes to individual product units, solving a key gap in Shopify's inventory tracking. While Shopify tracks SKU quantities, it doesn't track individual units, making it impossible for customers to verify authenticity or access per-unit warranty records. Mark any product as serialized and TrueTag automatically generates a unique serial and QR code for every unit when orders are fulfilled. You can also create serials in bulk or manually. Each QR code opens a branded verification page where customers can instantly confirm the product is genuine, view warranty status and expiry dates—no app or login required. The public page protects buyer privacy by never displaying customer information. The app also helps you detect counterfeit products by flagging suspicious scans, including serials you never issued or codes scanned from multiple locations. Look up any serial number to check its product details, warranty coverage, and complete scan history.
