About the Script Scan

Script Scan audits your Shopify theme to find and fix orphaned scripts and conflicts left behind by uninstalled apps. These duplicate scripts slow down your store by adding unnecessary HTTP requests that hurt page load speed. The app detects common issues like duplicate analytics tags, multiple jQuery versions, and overlapping chat widgets that create conflicts and skew your data. Each orphaned script may also leak customer information to services you no longer use. Script Scan is completely read-only and safe—it never modifies or injects anything into your theme. Scans complete in about 30 seconds and provide detailed reports showing exact script URLs and files.
