About the PreOrder Guard

PreOrder Guard helps you keep selling when products run out of stock by letting customers preorder against incoming shipments. The app calculates a safe preorder cap based on your sales history and expected inventory, holding back a buffer for potential supplier delays so you never oversell or promise more units than you can deliver. It runs on Shopify's native purchase options, which means no theme code is added and nothing gets left behind in your store. You can take a deposit upfront and automatically charge the balance later. The app also spots products about to sell out that should be switched to preorder mode. If a shipment gets delayed or your preorder cap sells through faster than expected, PreOrder Guard sends risk alerts before issues turn into customer refunds. This way you stay in control and avoid overselling your incoming stock.
