Once approved, Certly marks the customer tax-exempt in Shopify and adds the appropriate tags. The app sends automatic renewal reminders at 60, 30, and 7 days before expiration, and expired certificates are handled automatically so you never mistakenly charge tax-exempt status to buyers with outdated documentation. Configure per-state rules to collect certificates only where required.
